Stanley H. Block, M.D., has committed himself to a lifelong pursuit of excellence in psychiatry and the enhancement of wellness and mental health. In addition to Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at University of Utah School Of Medicine, Dr. Block has had academic appointments and has taught at a number of medical schools, including his alma mater UCLA. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis and is the founder of Mind-Body Bridging, a solution which he developed in order to help others regain natural sleep. Before entering medical school, he received an M.A. in physics at UC Berkeley. Dr. Block is currently developing medical applications and practice centers based on Mind-Body Bridging principles. He is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and lives in Copalis Beach, Washington with his wife and collaborator Carolyn Bryant Block.
Dr. Block is the author of several books, including the Mind-Body Workbook for Stress: Effective Tools for Lifelong Stress Reduction and Crisis Management, the Mind-Body Workbook for PTSD, the award winning book Come To Your Senses: Demystifying The Mind-Body Connection, and Bridging the I-System.
Dr. Block has founded and supervised numerous professional associations throughout New England. He served as President, Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Portland Help Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of the area's homeless and mentally-ill through outreach and outpatient services.
In conjunction with his extensive teaching and researching career, Dr. Block has given countless presentations ranging from topics such as psychotherapy and substance abuse treatment to women's health.
In a past life, Jonathan Kaye was a successful high-tech executive, overseeing market-leading businesses for Fortune 500 companies. While working for Hewlett Packard, Kaye used his MBA, MA International Business and BSEE academic credentials as a foundation for a 12 year meritorious career directing and leading Product Marketing and Product Management for notebook PC products. His success led him to his current endeavors, in which he actively uses technology to help others improve their quality of life and reach their potential. Kaye lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife and three sons.
After earning his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from University of Florida, Kaye worked with Texas Instruments, where he co-developed the industry's first graphing calculator used extensively in schools.
As Director of Product Marketing, Kaye led HP to #1 in worldwide home notebook market share with a revenue in the billions that contributed to record profitability.
Kaye was honored as a recipient of the HP Circle Marketing Award Grand Prize for marketing innovation to the youth market with promotion of the first Artist Special Edition Notebook. He engaged MTV to host a global design competition, with the winning design used on the notebook, which was featured on the cover of PC Magazine.
